TOYOTA MOTOR EUROPE (TME) is the regional headquarters of Toyota in Europe. Located in Brussels (Belgium), TME acts as the centre for all European operations including the principal areas of manufacturing & engineering and marketing & sales activities.

Established in 1987, the Toyota Technical Centre in Zaventem (Belgium) is home to TME’s European Research & Development (R&D) facility. Besides its in-house activity, this centre has several R&D projects with European universities related to various technologies.

TME is fully equipped with research facilities and equipment for Li-ion and Li-Air battery assembly (glove box, coin cell, Li-O2 cell, Karl-Fischer); Li-ion and Li-O2 battery testing (temperature chambers, multipotentiostat, impedance); battery electrode preparation (powder drying, sieving, mixer, Dr Blade automatic coater, spin coater, dip coater); materials synthesis or treatment (Ball Miller, Schlenk line, high temperature oven); material characterization (XRD, SEM, EDX).
